A literature review about how technology affects runners
I started running when I was twelve. Since then, it has been my way to connect with myself, the world around me, and other people. I made my closest friends through running and it taught me to push myself beyond my perceived limits. Sometimes I just put on shoes and go, but I usually wear a watch and listen to music (typically of Monsters and Men) while I run. Technology can help me to get into a flow on my runs, but other times it can be a distraction. These conflicting experiences made me want to explore how technology affects runners from more of a scientific perspective.
